8.09 miles | 2:17:03 | 16:56 pace | Battle Creek/Grove Creek loop What should have been a nice little hike turned into an ordeal. 4.7 miles in I realized I had lost my camera--had to back track 1.25 miles up the trail until I found it. And by that time the joy of the hike had been lost. Got my feet wet in a couple stream crossings--which I enjoyed. The water in my water bottle tasted soapy--which I didn't enjoy. I hope the water coming out of the Grove Creek Spring is safe to drink... Had a Pepsi when I got home and it's never tasted soooooooooo good!
