What a difference 15 hours makes.

7.18 miles / 0:57:47 / 8:03 A.P. / Provo River Trail

My only plan with today's run was to run with improved form--shoulders back and hips forward--not the slogging I've done for, like, forever.  I took shorter strides and tried to ensure my foot strike occured underneath me rather than out in front, which, I hope, created more of a fore/mid-foot strike rather than the heel strike I've grown accustomed to.  Without any perceived increase in effort I seem to have knocked off 15 seconds (average) per mile from Monday's PRT run.

FYI: Unskinny Bop by Poison has an awesome rhythm/beat that made the shorter strides easier.

Very sweet run. And a aveage 15 sec per mile increase is awesome.

NICE running form and a 15 sec/mile improvement is AWESOME!!!

I'll have to remember Unskinny Bop...sounds better than the Mob-tab for shorter strides! :)

Oh, glad you got in a mid-day run. Was it snowing or blowing? It was snowing horizontally up here on the bench.

Huans and Smooth: I was very surprised by the improvement--pleasantly surprised. It felt great!

Smooth: If Mo-Tab is the good side of the force, then Poison and Unskinny Bop are probably on the dark side. Just warning you ahead of time. A bunch of guys playing loud music and wearing makeup.

Thanks for the warning! :) They wear MORE than JUST makeup, right?

Yes.
