I'm going to wear my black compression socks. I'm worried about the sun getting them too hot, as well. Maybe the heat from the sun will keep my calves warmed up and loose.

I am, as of now, still undecided on the compression sleeves. Yes, the darker color will absorb more heat, but the trade off might be extra protection from sunburn--especially those of me who are infamous for our sunscreen forgetfulness.
