Good run.  I really haven't been feeling it the last few runs and the start of today's was no different.  Just can't get into the groove.  That and I've got some tightness in my right ankle that's causing me concern--especially this close to Ogden.  But today, after 3 1/2 miles, things came together a lot better than they have been.  I started to feel better.  And at the end, I really felt pretty good.  Probably should have kept going for a mile or two more.  Oh well.

I need to eat something.

And a cold glass of chocolate milk would be good too!

There's gonna come, in the not so distant future, when my ability to go directly from work to the PRT and run is going to become severely limited.  I'll miss it when it does.

I'll have to get up early in the A.M. and run.

Or something.

My treadmill won't be available for a while either--I don't think.

Talked to the boy just after he got out of school.  He said he wanted to come hang out with his Pa.  Had a rough day I guess.  I said we'd go for a short run to get rid of some of the stress.  He said yes.  I fell out of my chair and was useless for the rest of the day.

But he meant it and we went running.  Me and the boy, side by side, for 4 miles just talking about stuff.  Four 9-minute miles with the boy beat any number of sub-8's by myself.

My ankle (I think it's actually the lower portion of my calf) is still sore.  I think it's all the forefoot running I've been doing lately.  Maybe.  I hope.  I don't know.

Snow and wind.

Very few folks out on the trail--pansies!

Nice run.

Ankle/calf feels much better today.

Head hurts.

Going to bed.

Good night all!

Gonna try and get six more in later.

Went north from the house up to Highland and then east to the mouth of American Fork Canyon.  Hopped on the trail that meanders through the golf course and then behind Lone Peak High and what used to be called the Adventure and Learning Park.  From there, mostly a straight shot back home.  I was feeling fatigued that last mile, and that has me a bit concerned for Ogden in two weeks.  Fun run.  I've run most of this course before but never all together.

It's been 30 years since my Boy Scout days but I remember a week-long camp we had down in the Adventure and Learning Park--and most of that has now been developed into homes.  :(

Knees were stiff and tight for the first half mile but they loosened up and the rest of the run rocked!
